Welcome to Blues Angel Music, the #1 music store in Pensacola, Florida! BAM was opened in August of 1997 by Retired Navy Captain / Fighter Pilot Jim DeStafney, and has grown from a 1,000 sq. ft., one-man guitar shop into a 6,500 sq. ft., full-line, world-class music store. We provide a great selection of new, used and vintage guitars and amps for both the professional musician as well as the beginner. We also carry effects pedals--overdrive, distortion, compressor, tube screamers, clean boost--plus banjos, ukuleles, drums, music books and more! Our expert staff is always eager to answer any question and meet your musical needs! It has always been our goal to be the "go-to" place for local working musicians, and local families.

We provide expert, on-site instrument repair, with full time techs. You'll find our set-up and repair quality unequalled, and our rates are far less than the "competition". Whatever guitar, violin, other musical instrument or amplifier you need to have serviced--changing strings, correcting neck angle, installing bridge, installing pickups, changing tubes/rewiring, etc.--we have the techs to take care of your instruments!

Ready to learn how to play? We're ready to teach you! Whether you're 5, 99 or anywhere in between, you can learn to play a musical instrument! We have the finest and most affordable music school in the region, offering private and group lessons for guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, piano, banjo, and ukulele. You will love our teachers and have a blast learning music!

Is your child going into band? Whether you need a trumpet, trombone, violin, clarinet, drum or any other band instrument, we have the best rates in town on band instrument rentals! The instruments come from Veritas Instrument Rental Incorporated in partnership with Music Direct 1, operated by Bob Fisher right here in our store!
